What happens by default when you create a hybrid event from the main event creation page (there, there's a separate "hybrid" option), is that it will create 2 event sessions, 1 virtual 1 in-person, and it will automatically "pair" them. This is because even if the event is hybrid, we still want to be able to know how many people to expect for the in-person event, and allow people to pick which one (or both) they're RSVP'ing to.

So what you'll want to do is make sure you have created both a virtual and in-person session for your hybrid event, and then "pair" them from within the edit event session modal
