Remove or Hide Avatar

We don't plan to maintain the avatars for people, and having old photos of people or whatever icon they uploaded in the 2010s (lol) is more distracting than it is useful. I'd like to be able to remove someone's avatar (currently the options are only to view the full size image and change it to something else) or just turn off/hide avatars for the Organization entirely.

I would prefer it to be a personal setting because it is occasionally useful to finding someone I'm searching for if I don't know their last name and can recognize them in a picture.
Maybe have it as an organization wide setting for the default that users can manually turn back on for themselves if they find it useful.
